Why should I invest in a professional makeup artist for my wedding day?
Planning a wedding can be very stressful (as I’m sure you already know)- so many details are needed to complete such an important day, and makeup is no exception. Though it is always nice to have that friend who does their makeup well, a professional makeup artist knows how to make sure your makeup is flawless, your skin still looks like skin, lasts through the late hours of the night, and most importantly, is photo friendly. Makeup is something that you are going to see in almost every photo from your wedding day so it is 100% worth the investment.
What sets you apart as a makeup artist?
There are many talented artists here in the Fort Collins area and I am lucky to know and have worked with a few on photoshoots, events, charity galas, etc. That being said, I pride myself on getting to know each and every bride. You aren’t just a person sitting in my chair, you are a person whose natural beauty I want to enhance. I’m happy to contour you like a Kardashian but, my signature style is timeless, natural, but a little more glammed up for your wedding day. I want you to look and feel like yourself on your wedding day, only the most beautiful you’ve ever been. One of my personal goals with each wedding I am a part of is for you to be able to look at your wedding photos 10, 20 years from now and still see yourself as the beautiful bride that you were. It’s not every day you get married, after all!
Do you require a trial and why?
Yes a bridal trial is required. A trial allows me to know and understand what it is you are looking for on your wedding day. It is important for me to have a guide. Many times brides see an idea of something on Pinterest, Google, etc. and love the way it looks, and then when it is duplicated on them, it’s not what they want. I can’t tell you how often this happens! This allows me to gain some insight of what you want as a bride.
Where does a trial take place, and what does it entail?
Trials take place at Fringe Hair & Co. in Fort Collins (same building as Cafe Vino). A trial is so I can get to know you since I am going to be in your face for a little while on your wedding day. I enjoy getting to know each and every bride and making the experience personal and unique to you. We’ll play with colors until your satisfied with the final outcome and I also take notes so we can make sure to duplicate the look from your trial to your wedding day. It’s fun, I promise (plus free champagne, hello!)
What kind of makeup do you use?
As far as foundation and concealer I use, Bobbi Brown’s skin tone correct shades. I have found that these are not only photo friendly, but last all day, and compliment a wide range of skin tones. Everything else is a collage of products in my professional makeup kit which includes but is not limited to: Chanel, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Benefit, Make up Forever, Hourglass, Laura Mercier, and I will soon be adding TEMPTU airbursh services and product as well.
Are lashes required?
Lashes complete your bridal look and your bridal party aesthetic. It makes such a difference in photographs. I will spend time on making sure your lashes are secure, along your lash line and will stay on into the late hours of the night, even after a few cocktails.
Do you travel?
Yes! Day of services are typically on-site and there are no travel fees within a 30 mile radius of 80525. Travel fees will incur if more than 30 miles.
